Nevada,
a seven year old
BLM adopted Mustang with an attitude.  He would periodically rear
at his owner in challenge.
Using firm, but gentle technique, David found that Nevada
was coming on strong out of insecurity.  He was able to graduate in only six weeks and today is a dependable trail horse.
Johnny,
a five year old halter broke, 16hh, abused grade gelding.
His new owner is an older, petite lady with little riding experience.
Johnny had a severe fear of men, whips, and anything new or loud.
Confidence and a steady mannerism were just as important for Johnny
to learn as it was for him to accept tack and a rider.  He also needed to learn to stand quietly and patiently without being restrained while his mistress mounted steps and then a barrel in order to be able to reach the stirrup.
The following consists of a few of David's students along with a little of their stories.
