First and foremost, I would just like to say that Distant Promises has been a part of my life for five years now, in some way shape or form, and it is mine. I have poured my heart and soul into it [yes, sometimes less than others] and it is a part of me. Everything on Distant Promises is copyrighted to me, with exception of posts by other characters, pictures, boards, and such, and if you take anything I will be extremely upset. I guess I just want to say that, no, I do not have a legal copyright on Distant Promises, but please be respectful of it.
That over with...
There are so many people that have helped me along the way with Distant Promises, so I would just like to take a moment to thank them.
ANN~ Ann is the one that helped me open my first RPG, Summertime Valley. She taught me what it is to own and make a game, how to use html, how to make boards, pretty much everything required to run a game. She also helped me learn to personalize pictures, and made the beautiful banner for DPR. She's also been a great friend for at least five years now [I lost count, lol!] and she's played a big part in the RPG world for me.
DIZZY~ It is because of Dizzy that DP is open again today! She really pushed me to bring it back. Plus, she's great for helping with story lines, plots, characters, basically anything that requires creativity and imagination. She's been a huge help and influence to me, and a great friend. Thanks, Diz.
AMY~ Amy and I have been best friends since 8th grade. The first time she joined and RPG was at my pushing, in WIld Soulz. We had many great times getting on-line or on Roller Coaster Tycoon and laughing it up. She has always always been there for me, and always supported whatever crazy RPG ideas I can come up with.
I would also like to thank Megan, the creator of Wild Soulz, and Elsie, the creator of Beyond the Pass, for making such wonderful games that inspired me to create my own. The RPG world is a loss without them.
And of course, thanks to geocities.com for their hosting, and boards2go.com for the boards. Also to Robert Vavra for the pictures on the sites, and to you, the players, for joining.
