I started my career as a news cameraman in the mid seventies learning to "run and gun" as they say with 16mm film cameras, shooting daily news stories that held a deadline for 6 pm. I would shoot on an average of 10 - 400 ft. mags every day. The stocks were VNF 100 and VNF 400 with a 1/2 stop latitude both ways on reversal film. This gave me the ability to learn lighting and metering quickly and to be as close as possible to the correct exposure. As I started shooting negative I found a new look and the ability to have 2-5 stops latitude.

On my own time while working at the TV station, I wanted to be in production more than news, so I started lighting and shooting commercials with the local advertising agencies. As I moved up the ladder from cameraman to producer,director,cameraman I started shooting special projects and documentaries, that began to build my demo.

Couple of years later the hottest production company in the city hired me as a director/dp for commercials, promotion, corporate and music videos. After two more years I left the company and began a freelance career shooting second unit for feature films, regional and national commercials and music videos.

Today, Kevin has achied 157 awards to date that include: Emmy's, Telly's, Addy's, New York Films Festival, Chicago Film Festival, Houston Film Festival, Matrix, Crystal, ITVA, AP, Gaberial, L.A. Film Festival, Lyons, and many others.
