| December, 2000: This month our feature in The Images of Broken Light Gallery is the on and only Mr. Frank Zappa (1940-1992)...one of the most progressive, influential and intelligent American composers ever. Mr. Zappa, or Uncle Frank as we like to call him, has been a part of my life since the mid-1970's. His music touched me immediately, starting with the clever and silly lyrics, transcending through the complex and vibrant music and then, resting in his deep (albeit sarcastic) lyrical philosophy. I love Uncle Frank, he's one of the top five most influential artists on me...he even once called my brother a mutant! So here's my little tribute to my Uncle Frank... | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
