| One Can Only Dream... A Guide To The BlissAcres Virtual Theater The BlissAcres Virtual Theater, if it were a real place, would look something like this picture. This is a photo of Haiti, a part of the island called Labadee. If this venue were a place you could physically travel to, I would have you come to a place like this...You would get there by a jetty launched from some cruise ship and come stay for the day. So, in that way, The BlissAcres Virtual Theater is something alike a theme park. It's a Day Tripper, yeah, man...a remote little island in international waters, no longer bound by the constraints and laws per se of the unitedstatesofamerikkka so, almost anything in the way of recreational activities would be permissiable...within reason, naturally, and since we own this little island, we are the rulers who set forth laws and boundaries...we would have a security force, of course, and people who did not respect our limits are cast off the island immediately and returned to the cruise ship from which they came...but if you were cool about it, and you just came to play, this is someplace you would come and spend some time... Because time is worth more than money, we would try to give you the most value for your investment, and so, there is more than just one thing to do at this make-believe tropical arts theme park...There would be a main stage like area...a place where you could count on finding about 6 hours of music and performance by a variety of well known artists. You could just come and go, as you please, from the main stage area once you were there, on the island...that way, you could wander around the complex and experience all there is to offer...In The BlissAcres Virtual Theater there would also be several other, smaller venues that feature other forms of artistic expression...there would be a smaller stage featuring performances by unknown, but (hopefully) pretty good...then you walk down a tropical tree lined path and find yourself at an indoor/outdoor art gallery with a variety of both native folk arts and contemporary graphic arts...leaving that area, you amble down sandy paths into a beachside bizaare complete with little booths selling everything from art to food to clothing to whatever... There would be interactive things to do too. Maybe you're feeling like something very physical and recreational like sand volleyball, snorkeling or riding on a bannann boat (like any other cruise-line) But, because this is a theater/arts themed park, there would be other interactive activities that would be less strenous, more relaxed, like playing with paints and clay and other artsy-craftsy toys or simply sitting around a campfire participating a free for all jam and sing-a-long...maybe the thespbian in you drives you partake in the Comedia del'Arte improve theater review or maybe you're feeling more passive and a nice movie theater as retreat from the intense sun drenched heat where you could sip a cool one in big soft air conditioned seats would be more your speed...but the point is, if The BlissAcres Virtual Theater WERE a real place, there would be lots of things to do that would be both engaging and entertaining. And who knows, they say sometimes dreams do come true, and so...maybe this one will too, right? One can only dream... |
