Hard Drives

  A hard drive, aka hard disk drive, is one of the most important components of hardware in side the PC. A hard drive is simply a device that reads data stored on a magnetic or optical disk and writes data onto the disk for storage. From there it is able to read and write off of the hard disk. And a hard disk is a rigid magnetic disk fixed permanently within a drive unit and used for storing computer data. Hard disks generally offer more storage and quicker access to data than floppy disks do. Plus, within every hard drive there are the same basic parts that allow the device to run in correct matter. These compnents include the platters, spindle and spindle motor, read and write heads,a head actuator, an interface connector, and a power connector. Without anyone of those basic then no hard drive would be able to run.
