Before deciding anything else in terms of housing, you'll need to decide on what type of enclosure you want to use. There are several choices. Listed below are the Pros and Cons of each.
All Glass Aquariums
All glass aquariums are the most commonly used type of housing for Green Anoles.

Pros: Aquariums hold heat and humidity well, and are virtually escape-proof unless the top is poorly covered. You  also have a totally unobstructed view of your Anoles when using all glass aquariums.

Cons: There is the risk of overheating, and poor ventilation. Large aquariums can also be rather costly.
All Screen Cages:
All screen cages, often called "reptariums," are a good housing for your green anoles.

Pros: Plenty of ventilation. Cost effective. Lightweight.

Cons: Lack of ability to hold moisture and heat.
Custom Cages:
In my opinion, these are the best types of cages for your Green Anoles.

Pros: Everything is up to you. You pick what the walls are made of, what the top and bottom are made of, where to drill holes for power cords, where the door will be, etc...you decide.

Cons: Very costly. Unless you build it yourself. Then you need time and patience.
Now you should determine what size enclosure you need...
Enclosure Size:
Determining the size of the enclosure will mainly be determined by the number of Anoles you have. As a rule of thumb, you should provide ten gallons of space per Anole. Using this rule, one Green Anole could be housed in a ten gallon cage, two in a twenty gallon, and so on. A Green Anole should never be housed in a cage under ten gallons, under any circumstances. Any housing smaller than ten gallons should only be a very temporary house. Here's a chart for quick reference:

     10 Gallons   =   1 or 2 Anoles.
     20 Gallons   =   2 Anoles.
     30 Gallons   =   3 Anoles.
     40 Gallons   =   4 Anoles.
     and so on...
Remember never to house two male Anoles in the same enclosure unless your enclosure is the size of a coat closet. Also, do not house opposite sexes together unless you are fully prepared to take on the responibility of breeding. If you're going to house more than one Anole in the same enclosure I suggest an all-female colony.
