PARK NEWS: 26/9/2002 Jet Ski malfunctions, 4 people receive minor injuries.
A Jet Ski malfunctioned and ran into the audience during the 12.30 Ski Challenge show.  The offending jet ski has been taken by the police, who are trying to determine the cause of the accident.  The Jet Ski section of the show has been removed and has been replaced by extended Wake Boarding. This is the most serious accident in the 44 year history of the show and resulted in a broken leg, and 3 people being required to spend an afternoon in hospital.

31/01/2003 Ski Challenge - Revolver:
Seems that the entertainment bosses of Warner Village theme parks have realised that Seaworld's current ski show is not of the greatest standard, and have began making changes.  First up is a new act 'Revolver', in which slalom skis and the old 'giant scissors' stunt make a welcome return after being absent from the show for 3 years.

As well as that, word on the street is that comedy will once again be a prominent feature of the show, and with some of the old props being repaired it looks as if there is some truth to this.

27/5/2003  Shark Bay gets the green light!
The parks next new attraction has been announced, construction has begun, and Shark Bay will be open by Xmas.  The rumoured Crocodile attraction (Croc Creek) has been cancelled (By Crikey!), leaving Seal Rocks as the most likley attraction after Shark Bay.
2/10/2002:  "Crike
y"  The word used by John Menzies to describe the parks new attraction.  Could the park be trying to make the most of the Crocodile Hunter's Popularity?  Lets hope not....

30/01/2003 Seal Rocks and Shark Bay:  The last hurrah
?  It seems that crocodiles are in, and sharks are out, with rumours circulating that a crocodile swamp (home to 60 crocs) will take the place of the proposed 'shark bay'.  This will really leave a huge hole in Seaworld's line-up in years to come, as there is currently no underwater viewing of sharks in the park.  Still no word on if this also means the end for Seal Rocks, but the future of both projects looks grim.

18/01/2002:  Upd
ate:  Although this strictly isn't news, this quote does confirm a new attraction for this year or next. (Quote taken from the Australian Stock exchange)

"Polar Bear Shores will be the first stage in the development of an
Ocean Science Centre, stage two of which is planned to open within
three years."

While it doesn't make mention of what the attraction will be, it does complete the puzzle, confirming a shark enclosure for the end of this year.  No news on the future of the Thrillseeker, although a block of land which recently appeared near the corkscrew is getting allot of attention

21/06/2002:  Update:  Thrillseeker Stat
us:  It appears that the Thrillseeker has seen its final rider.  Its now for sale, and for AU$200,000, which is a pretty good price.

our: If the sea lion enclosure goes ahead, it may leave a vacant area near Cartoon Network Cartoon Beach.  The area is expected to be either an extension of Cartoon Beach, or a S&S tower ride.  After a closer look at the site, it becomes clear that the Skyway crosses over the area, making the Tower ride seem a bit less likely.

2:  A rumour has been circulating the park suggesting that the current seal enclosure will be replaced with, of all things, a costume character stage show.  Sounds like it would be a Cartoon Network version of 'Looney Tunes Musical Revue' at Movieworld
