The World's only unofficial guide to Seaworld, Gold Coast, Australia |
As you stand at the Entrance to Seaworld, you are greeted by a view over the entire park. One of the most prominent features you see is this impressive replica of Captain Cook's Endeavour. It was built in 1972, and was originally a restaurant. It makes a great backdrop for Seaworld's oldest dolphin pool, giving a topical feeling to the area. In the past, the Endeavour Replica has been used as a backdrop and as a stage for both dolphin and Pirate shows. Most recently, it was the stage for 'Pirate Cove', which was a Pirate show to coincide with the introduction of 'Pirates 3D Adventure" In 1999, it was given face-lift, changing it from an old faded beige colour, to the blue and yellow it is today. Today, the area is home to one of Seaworld's Animal Interactive programs, 'Endeavour Adventure' where guests get the chance to swim with dolphins. |
