overview: originally formed in 1989, under the name "the cranberry-saw-us", with noel hogan on guitars, mike hogan on bass,
fergal on drums, and a singer named niall quinn. the rest of the band unhappy with niall decided to change gears in 1990 and
held auditions where they met dolores. their first song written was linger. in 1991 they made an ep, uncertain, which contained
four tracks. in 1992 they released everybody else is doing it so why can't we, with linger and dreams as singles. in 1994 they
went back to the studio and recored their follow up album, no need to argue, with zombie, ode to my family, i can't be with
you, and ridiculous thoughts as singles. in 1996 they released to the faithful departed (their best album to date), with salvation,
free to decide, when you're gone, and hollywood as singles. with a lot of hard work and constant touring the cranberries have
earned their way to success.
Dolores Mary Eileen O'Riordan Burton: vocals, guitar, keyboards.
Dolores is obviously the center of attention of the cranberries. She is the youngest of seven children and has been singing
all her life. She strongly believes in what she does and she is not afraid to voice her opinion. She is married to Don
Burton and has a stepson named Donny and a baby of her own is on its way! "You don't always have to have long
blonde hair and big huge knockers to be nice!"
Noel Hogan: guitars, mandolin, background vocals.
Noel is the quietest and shyest member of the band. If you have ever seen him playing live you'll know Noel expresses
himself through palying guitar. Noel is married to Catherine Nash and has opened "Portyl's" in their hometown, Limerick,
Ireland. "I think we knew about more of a band that we didn't want to be than about a band that we did want to be. We

Mike Hogan: bass guitar.
Mike is the partier of the band (he has a taste for Guiness beer). He and his brother Noel are very close. He rarely
moves onstage, but offstage, he is the one who cracks most of the jokes. He has a steady girlfriend, and plans were
recently made for a future marriage. "I was never kind of a fan of kind of computerized kinds of things."
Fergal Lawler: drums and percussion.
Ferg is the most talkative band member. He enjoys camping, biking, and collecting cds. His favorite song to play live is
ridiculous thoughts. He just got married in April, and at the wedding everyone wore kilts! "I think by the time no need to
argue came out, we started to get a bit heavier, but at the same time it was nothing over the top like Metallica or
something."
Other facts: The cranberries favorite foods are nachos, smartfood popcorn, and cornflakes. Some of their favorite movies are
Trainspotting, Dracula, Close Encounters, all James Bond movies. Dolores is around 5'3 and under 100lbs. The rest are about
5'9.
