Toronto idiots hope to unite faiths
Toronto In a stunning move that originated in the TTCs subway system, two of Torontos zealots hope to rebuild a mosque in Kabul, Afghanistan and combine it with Canadas United Church.
Any idea spawned in the subway should be set aside once you come to the surface, exclaimed Elaine, an anonymous TTC regular. Once, I thought I could fiddle with the outcome of an online photo contest but I have since realised my error in judgement.
Mark Persaud, Rev. Brian Brown of the United Church and Mobeen Khaja, President of the strangely named Association of Progressive Muslims of Ontario, co-hatched the mosque-rebuilding plan.
For Brown, this plan is a way to promote the United Church beyond Canadas borders.
Hey, what the hell! The banks are amalgamating and making huge profits as a result. Why cant churches and mosques do the same?
Khaja sees another plus.
What better way to begin soaking those poor war-torn individuals of their hard-earned cash than to immediately re-establish religion in every neighbourhood. I admit the combined mosque-church or murch, as I like calling it, will take a bit of getting used to.
I prefer the name churque and if that doesnt get the nod then I will have United Church militants burn the son-of-a-bitch to the ground, Brown whined. I couldnt give a Shiite what they think!! |
