Caroline darts about in her Dagger keeping tabs on the group, providing excellent support for all paddlers and relaying observations to the leader. Through support like this, Canoe in the Mist has become a highly regarded and requested program,  offering a second to none, semi-wilderness, paddling experience to both novice and seasoned paddlers who wish to explore Arrowhead Lake.

As a former ORCA flatwater canoe instructor, I was impressed with the information/instruction that Doug shared with the Canoe in the Mist group prior to the July 13th paddle. I missed an opportunity to participate in ORCA's Safe Canoeing Program back in the summer of 2001, due to the closure of the company that I had been with for 13 years, and hence the loss of my holidays that summer. Doug is a very knowledgable individual and is very good at sharing that information. Although it turned into a windy trip, I think everyone enjoyed and learned a few things about canoeing and the natural history of the park. Thanks Doug, great job!
