Many blog entries on this site depict and describe a guided canoe hike known as "Canoe in the Mist".  This "hike" has happened since 2004, every Sunday Morning at 8:00 AM at Arrowhead Provincial Park.  I always start off with a brief lesson about paddling a canoe because there are so often first time canoeists in the group...then its into Arrowhead Lake or down the Little East River if it is windy.  Nearly 1000 people have participated in this event over the past 4 years.  Many participants have gone on to purchase their own canoes and have adopted canoeing as a cherished family activity.  Several participants come back year after year to participate and regard the experience as a highlight of their vacation.

Depicted is the largest Canoe in the Mist ever, 0n August 7, 2007, with 27 crafts taking to the water.  27 is of course, too large a group but an error was made on a sign up form...and the rest my fellow paddlers...is history!
