What an adventure! What a beautiful day! What beautiful people! Today I had the oportunity introduce new people to canoeing! No more than three people in our party had canoed before. Even then, it was only on one or two occasions. We had the option of paddling Arrowhead Lake or the Little East River. I opted to lead the group down the Little East on account of gusty off shore winds. The river was warm and shallow but flowing strongly with the influx of the previous nights rain. Thanks to those who enjoyed a morning of canoeing with me. Moments like today remind me that canoeing is the best recreational activity in the world and that sharing the art of it is the best job in the world...at least until cross-country ski seasons begins.
