Perfect Weather Ends the Canoe in the Mist Season. Yep, today was this summer's last guided trip around Arrowhead Lake.  As luck would have it, not only was the weather perfect but the Great Blue Heron, returned from a season-long absence. It wheeled across the sky over the north end of the lake just as we  approached it.  The bird did a graceful spiral down into the shallows at the lake edge and all but its grey, stick-like head were hidden by the dense stand of pickeral weed.  Nearly 30 people took part in Canoe in the Mist today and nearly 300 people participated since the  beginning of July!
