A grey Sunday meets a brilliant group of paddlers on Arrowhead Lake.  Like the mild grey tone of the sky, our tour today was rather subdued in terms of wildlife viewing.  We did notice however, that the beavers had been hard at work building their dam on the Little East River, and a green frog greeted us while our paddles released methane from the muck at the north end of the lake.  Sometimes though,  just being is reason enough to be in a canoe.
