Blossoming Arrowhead plants and fleeting Kingfisher sightings kept us scanning the shoreline for more.  Spotted Salamander egg clusters appeared just below the waters surface in the shallows and looked like big jelly blobs.  This keen group of paddlers had lots of environmental knowledge as well as many excellent questions about the biology of the lake.
