In-Between

Between the hard and softer parts,
Of whats become my wanting heart,
Is where you live now, searching me
For a glimpse of what will be.

Our emotions ride the highs and lows,
Existing outside yes and no.
So we meet between the dark and light,
Letting go of wrong and right.

We cant hold on nor chance let go.
Its much too fast and too slow.
We fail to see, though know so much
And expose our hearts, but fail to touch.

Balanced on this in-between,
Inviting fate, it often seems,
For a chance to win at all,
With open eyes, we risk the fall.
