Forever Living

I sense your arrival from beyond the shore.
Youve returned to me, as so often before,
With a look of longing on your face
For me and for this special place.

Bare now, your feet upon the sand.
I reach for your heart, take your hand
And walk with you until you know,
That I really never can let go.

You sit, looking back at me,
See what is real and what will be.
What change of mind and light can show;
The things you love, the me you know.

With waves I reach, caress your feet,
Cooling them from summers heat.
White bubbling foam, tickling
Fade from site, then more I bring.

You stand now, walk along the beach
So for your feet, again I reach.
Then search for shells and rocks to find
And treasures from another time.

I sweep across your feet to stay.
The sand beneath them falls away.
With gentle pull, I beckon them
To wade a little further in.

Accepting of my gentle ways,
Up to your waist, begin to sway.
With rolling waves, my rhythm still
Inviting your very heart and will.

Your hands float softly, touching, free.
Eyes scanning further, searching me.
A look of awe and peaceful smile
Leads me to know Im yours awhile.

One more step, now in my arms,
I hold you up now, free from harm
Then reach and splash upon your lips
To give a loving, salty kiss.

This stage now set with sky and sun,
As the conductor takes the podium
To begin this symphony of waves,
With gulls and dancing sunlight, he plays.

Your eyes now closed and face aglow,
The essence of your passion shows
A world away, as if in a trance,
To move as one, in our dance.

Traveling beyond all time and space,
Into the realm of eternal grace
This burning desire that you bring,
To join with me, forever living.
