Marshmallow Toast

The dinner plates all put away,
The songs all sung, the end of day.
Chairs around the campfire go
To sit and watch it burn and glow.

Expected, yes, traditional.
Acting out the ritual
With metal forks and mallows,
We spear and roast these fellows.

Over coals now glowing bright,
I find a spot that seems just right.
Slowly spinning around and around,
Soon pale shades of golden brown.

Three more turns, until all is done.
I smile within, now comes the fun!
We raise our sticks up in the air,
And proclaim to campers, everywhere;

Marshmallow toast, to one and all!
We know our trade, we took the call
To create the only perfect treat,
Weve done our part, so now lets eat!
