Unnecessary Fear
The mist and fog that rise off the lake
an eerie but mystical mood they do make
The dawn starts to rise and the sun starts to wake
and the shadows of darkness to hide in they take
But fear not for them for they know when they stride
it's the art of stealth for which they must abide
They live within man through legends and stories
each one reminding us all of their glory
A peaceful creature that means us no harm
if man just understood there's no need for alarm
We take their lands in which they try to survive
so they take our livestock in turn to stay alive
In anger we shoot them standing in our sights,
considering them all to be one of Gods blights
To kill without mercy and show no respect
well that we all know, is one of man's best effects
They hide in the shadows knowing what's near
for if they're not careful they will die from man's fear
A loud howl cuts loose and send chills throught the night
It's a cry from the wolf to show there's still fight
The wolf and the man have been close before
and I think it's time to reopen that door
You only hear a howl and never a yelp
because he wants you to hear him calling for help
Respect and understanding is all that they need
to make sure their species will always succeed
The stories will remain of the wolf to be told
for they are the ones mystic and bold
