A soul that needed but release
From self ridicule and dammed up peace
She spread her wings with a heart felt sigh
And whipped the tear that stained his eye
Then she simply sat a bit to share
And hypnotize him with her stare
The beauty flowing from her eyes
Dried his own continued cries
The caring words her lips would play
Had stirred a gentle rhythmic sway
To once again my heart could stay
beating with the will to play
Now with her touch of a gentle wing
She wraps my soul like a feathered sling
To nurture and comfort me into the night
Till my dreams can wisp me away in delight
During the day if my thoughts turn to despair
I just close my eyes and see my Poet there
Her reflection is with me all day and all night
I just open my soul and let her take flight
