My Garden

The grass is getting greener
as the spring brings on relief

The buds and flowers blooming
in the breeze they gently sway
The birds are singing to the squirrels
as they sit and watch them play
The pond has gentle ripples
as the fish warm up and stay
to mope along the surface
for some food to come their way
Even weeds are scattered
as they too search out the sun
To try and take a grip upon
the yard until theyve won
Creeping, crawling, spreading out
you cannot see them grow
Until they simply overcome
all the things you love
They must be taken care of
and not left to just run loose
For they will grow out of control
and strangle with their noose
Control it must be taken
if the weeds are not to win
Do not wait until too late
Just simply kill again
Grab them by the body
and yank them from the ground
Stomp on them until they are
crushed down and turning brown
Leave them there and do not frown
For they will not be missed
