Four Roses

I stopped the car, along the way
To buy some roses, this special day
Just because, you are so dear
I add another, each and every year
It has already been, four years today
That you met with him, and went away
But etched in my heart, is what I feel
My love for you, he could never steal
Each rose has, it's own colored way
To show you what, I just wanted to say
One is of the deepest red.
To show my love, just like I said!
One is of a brilliant yellow
The color worn, when saw with this fellow
One is of a simple blue
Because my heart, still longs for you!
One is of the palest black
For now I know, your not coming back!
I took them to, the place to stay
Where we spoke, goodbyes that day
I even had them wrapped in lace
To keep them there, all held in place
Yes he had won, mine was the defeat
So I place them there, down at my feet
I still don't think, that this can be fair
Never thought you would leave,
I was so unaware
Then I hit the ground, on my trembling knees
My voice screaming out, my crying pleas
I raise my head, looking up at the sky
Hoping your looking me, right in the eye
To show you the roses, now there are four
Unlike the three, bought just one year before
Just letting you know, that they can be found
Beside your headstone, on your grassy moun
The colors will fade, with the life of the rose
Next year I'll be back, and I'll replace those

P.S. My Love, I just wanted to say
The drunk that took you, on that fatal day
The papers are saying, he was out there again
This time they say, he was wasted on GIN
Once agin, he has crossed the line
Now another loves gone, just like mine!
