Poetry By Douglas Q. Plew.

Bobbie

Sometimes, nights are long

and not so kind

the things I love

are hard to find

Awake in my bed

I stare at the sky

Im looking for Jesus

but with Satan I lie

Do you remember?

The horses that play

aligned on your dresser

that we would feed hay

Could you send one?

That mighty brown steed

so that I might escape

and ride away on a dream

I will not keep him

You may have him back

but tonight I cant take it

not another attack

I will even come see you

I do miss you so

And if your dreams will let me

We can go for a stroll

We can ride them together

to the moon we will go

and sit there and laugh

at the world that we know

We could stay there forever

and never come back

I could sleep on your shoulder

not in fear of attack

Until then I will wait

and watch for your steed

remember I love you

my sweet sister I need
