Angels Do Live!

Today I felt a little saddened
as I overheard somebody say
that there is no such thing as angels
now how could they think this way

For I know there are many
I see them everyday
and if you say you've never seen one
then your looking too hard I'd say

Not all angels look of glory
Heaven sent and bearing wings
they are all shapes and sizes
and they do most anything

They have the power of creation
lent to them by God I think
and although it's not as strong as his
it is how life continues to link

They come to you at bedside
when your feeling sick and blue
and let you know that they are there
to simply help and comfort you

They watch you while your playing
You may not even know they are there
Until you fall and scrape your arm or knee
and they come to doctor you up with care

They sit across the table
and watch you grow up big and strong
and fix you all the meals you like
YES, to say no angels is just wrong

They cry with you and laugh with you
and seem to feel the things you feel
The love and trust you learn from them
is something no one could ever steal

They stay around as long as they can
but not all angels are immortal you see
and when it is time that they must go
then off to heaven they must flee

Earth must be a lot like heaven
for angels are not that hard to see
My Aunt Lendie and my mother are two
so all the other mommies, too, must be!
