I was once a Republican, but switched parties to Democrat when I realized what a fool the GOP was making of me. I'd been 'conned' by real professionals. Until the rest of the Republicans realize they've been 'had' they will continue their thievery of America. We must expect to set the bar for our political leaders higher than ourselves. Personally, I'm offended to be led by a "C+" student who embodies all of the failures of great societies in the name of privilege, wealth and power. I love my country too much to set the bar for our President as low as we have. The current administration has turned the clock backward on progress. We must take lessons on what "conservative" agendas have acheived for the Taliban, Al Queda and other groups. Please help to turn our economy back to one where the government's role is to help the majority of Americans, to defend the weak, to respect international affairs. Our government should not be host to an orgy of greed and power for those who have the money for access to our top officials. Support the true Democratic heroes in our community, not the "fake" patriots of the Republican party.
