Funny story for you.
The other day we took the children to Mc Donalds since there hasn't been any clear days for them to go play outside and they have a huge playground inside. Cassidy quickly made friends with a little boy about her age ( it's always boys with her :-) and they played and played for an hour. At the end when it was time for us to go Cassidy called to him from outside the play area from the top of her lungs and said " I am going now, but I will find out where you live and we'll run away together and be married!" She is so funny!

Yesterday Cassidy went to the twins' birthday party and I don't think I have ever seen a child bounce off the walls like she was when I got home! NEVER NEVER feed her cake, ice cream, candy, soda pop and cookies or any combination thereof!!!
Oh my! PSYCHO SPAZZ CHILD.
She didn't wind down until 1 am, and the party was at NOON! OOF!

Couple of days ago Cassidy and Jeff were coming home from the store in the pouring rain and Jeff mumbled to himself "God, I am so sick of the rain! I wish it would just go away!" to which Cassidy replied "Well, Daddy, all you have to do is ask God and he will stop it." " Honey, I appreciate your idea but I don't think it is going to work." Jeff replied, still angry at the rain.
There was a long pause then Cassidy said.
" Sure it will Daddy, but you have to mean it. I asked God to make it stop raining one night when Mommy and I were coming back from the store. It was raining really hard and I was sad because I was carrying the milk jug, and it was heavy and I just wanted to not be in the rain any more. So I said "God, please, please make it stop raining, just until we get home. And he did."
" Really honey," Jeff asked," are you sure it will work this time?"
Another long pause , " Yes, if you really mean it" then another really long pause as she scanned their groceries,"Well, maybe not this time." " Oh? Why not this time?," Jeff asked "HMMMM, Daddy, you have to really really mean it and be carrying a jug of milk."
-All for now, but best of all now you know how to get your prayers answered.-A
Happy Easter!
Cassidy had her first acting classes yesterday. She loved it!!!! She thought it would be everyday though, so she was a little disappointed when we told her that it was just every Saturday. She said that she is just happy to be able to go.
Today was fun, waking the kids and watching them run around like chicks with their heads cut off. Cassidy was very excited to get several gold medallions in her easter eggs. She marvelled that Easter Bunny was so rich that he could afford to give her such beautiful and valuable things. She pronounced that she would carry them with her everywhere for very good luck and promptly put them into her pocket. While Jeff was driving me to work this morning you could hear her in the back seat imagining the exotic places these coins had been, "this one is Chinese" and "this one is a golden quarter dollar" And "this one, what's this on the side, it's got a seam, see mom, wonder why." Then after a long silence... "Ahaaahhaaaahaa, it's CHOCOLATE!!! These are all CHOCOLATE!! AHHHHAHHAAHAHAHAH!! These are chocolates from the Easter Bunny, I brought a snack and I didn't even know it!!!! AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!"
Hope you have a happy Easter.

Hi again...You know Jeff is down with the bug that got me last week and there is so much to do this time of year with the groundskeeping. Over my days off we mowed the lawns, but since I broke our regular mower in my garden we had to use the ride on mower. The ride on has a fault with the chute that feeds the grass into the bagger, so all of the grass clippings end up on the ground. After mowing the whole place we then have to go back and rake up all the grounds then scoop and bag it. It is quite a project to undertake on top of all the other things we do and we didn't get the last two yards raked.
When I got home around 8:30 last night I said to Jeff, "Oh I see you got some yard work done." And he said " What are you talking about, I've been in bed all day". When I told him that the yards were raked he was a little mad, thinking one of the tenants had done it. Mostly he was mad that a tenant would have to go and do what he should be out doing.
Then Cassidy said, " Ummm, I don't think that a tenant did it." Jeff asked " Why do you say that?" Cassidy said "Well, Tracie told me that if you leave the clippings on the grass it will kill it." "So did Tracie do it?" Jeff asked. "Umm no, I knew you didn't feel good so I ummm, I did it." Cassidy replied. " I tried to scoop them up but I was tired and it was messy, I did scoop up one pile and that was kind of fun, but it didn't work out so well, so I just made the piles. I hope you're not mad."
We told her how proud of her we were for her thoughtfulness and hard work but then explained why going out without a parent knowing could be dangerous. She must have worked for over an hour to get that all done, and she did it really well. She raked the equivalent of half a city block.
Sometimes it is hard to believe she is only five years old.-A
PS...Cassidy lost her first tooth yesterday! EEK, I meant to tell you that first.-A
More as they arrive :-)
