The Only One

Left alone all my life, No one ever cares.

If seeing is believing, Then I haven't seen enough.

Trust is gone. hope is lost.

There must be something more. But I'm tired of looking.

Locked inside my own walls. I'm afraid of what's to come.

The past no longer frightens me. The present is my concern.

I wish I'd had the chance to try. But all too soon we had to say goodbye.

Betrayal so sweet. Love so painful.

Searching out. Locked inside.

The past hurt me. Now I'm afraid to go back.

I am the only one who knows. I'm the only one who cares.

The only one.
