Het Pairing You Can't (Under)Stand: Ginny/Harry, Ron/Hermione, Harry/Cho. They're boring. If I want to read fanfiction, it needs more imagination than canon obvious.
Favorite Harry Potter Character: Can't choose just one. Love many, many characters. Draco, Ron, Lucius, Snape, Harry, Hermione, Peeves...it changes from day to day.
How did you get into Harry Potter?: My sister was a fan, and I picked up the first book while avoiding doing schoolwork (an art that I've perfected). I read the back cover, thought, "Why are these people so mean to this Harry boy if he's special enough for a book," and opened it up. After reading half of the first chapter, I closed the book, thought, "Who cares about these fat Dursley people," and didn't look back until a year and a half later when my sister made me watch the DVD. Then, I still avoided it because I walked in when Dan's saying the "I'm not going home," line. The cheese scared me. Finally, I saw the movie. Then I was manipulated into reading the books by my father. My sister often says she created a monster.
How did you get into Harry Potter fanfiction?: At the time, I was into NSYNC slash. After seeing the movie, I remembered that a NSYNC writer I liked had a Harry Potter slash story. Just curious as to what the pairing was, I checked it out. Thus I was introduced to the world of Harry/Draco. Following her links, I ended up reading Irresistable Poison. What a way to start.
