Scholarship Program
This Scholarship Program helps MM members cover the cost of attending major horse-related, non-club events that are educational or competitive in nature. Applicants must be members in good standing and have an active history of earning credits via club activities prior to application. Application to be submitted with a breakdown of projected expenses. Recipients of scholarships must submit a written report for inclusion in the club newsletter or give an oral presentation at a meeting describing the experience and how they have benefited from the experience, with particular emphasis on information that other members may find beneficial. Scholarship money MAY NOT be used for the purchase of tack, equipment, horses, vet bills, or other material things. Maximum of $1000 is available per year for total scholarship disbursements, to be set aside at the beginning of each year for this purpose if financially feasible. In case of financial shortfall, club may elect to not award scholarships until circumstances improve.

A)
Up to $200 for major events located in Minnesota, such as clinics, State 4-H Show, WSCA Champ Show, recognized breed shwos, other horse related competition.

B)
Up to $400 for major, multi-day regional events located i nthe upper midwest, such as championship shows or other horse related competition, big clinics, major horse fairs, expos, etc.

C)
Up to 800 for major, multi-day national level events as a participant or as a spectator, such as EquitanaUSA, National Championship Competitions, clinics, tourist attractions (Churchill Downs, Kentucky Horse Park, Pony Penning Days, etc.).
