Strings of Pearls

If you keep your rabbit in a cage with a wire bottom, you probably see poop balls hanging from the wire all of the time. These are commonly referred to as the strings of pearls.
They are completely normal and a good thing for your rabbit to have happen. It means that the fur is passing through your rabbit easily, meaning it does not have a hair ball.
Grass hay helps the fur to move through the rabbit, cleaning out their systems. This helps to prevent hair balls, but also causes a lot more of the string of pearls to occur.
To clean these off your cages, you can use a wire brush. You want to make sure to clean these off when you clean cages, as it is a prevention for both forms of Coccidiosis (Intestinal Form and Hepatic Form).
