| First i call myself DoubleDragon after the computer game & because i am a bit of a Bruce Lee nut, born Norwich, Norfolk 1970. My main toys as a child were Lego & Action Man, my first electronic toy was a Pong game which i can`t remember much about, then in the late 70`s one Christmas i got a Palitoy Merlin which i loved and had up until the late 80`s ( i have since bought 3 back ). Next i had a CGL Galaxy Twinvader which i don`t know what happened too ( i have since bought 2 back ), then came a secondhand Rubber Key 48K Spectrum, memories of coming home from school at dinner times and copying a game from someone at school while doing my beans on toast ( i now can`t move for Spectrum stuff ). In the late 80`s my farther got a Amstrad CPC 464 and i spent alot of time playing Fruit Machine, Kelvin a neighbour 2 doors up had one and we would compeat to get the highest score ( i surplied Kelvin with a 464 & games just the other year ) Then in the early 90`s i had a Spectrum +2 Grey & my farther had a 464+, late 90`s came along the Amiga 1200 & i used to go to the Amiga Club in Norwich. My collecting started in August 1998 when buying Amiga bits from ONE STEP BEYOND a computer & games shop on Bedford Street Norwich & talking to Paul ( one of the staff ) who said he collected old computer`s, so while going round the bootsales i decided to buy myself one to have a play on. I bought a Vic 20 with 9 carts for �4 only to find out there was no RF Modulator, so i could not connect it to a TV ( very Green back then ) then i bought a Spectrum +2 Grey & a Atari 2600 Woody & i havent looked back since |
