The beginning of the last quarter of the year marks a special event when some of the foals, some of the stallions, and some of the mares are rounded up to be auctioned off. The money goes right back into raising these horses, amazing huh?
There are six stallions on the range, along with nearly one hundred mares and roughly eighty foals per year. About twenty foals are rounded up, along with about ten mares, and about one to two stallions are rounded up.
Also, horses with injuries are rounded up, tamed by DHS, trained, and taken care of by DHS are later auctioned off in the same manner.
