Week 6....Puppies play involved games in which they stalk and attack each other, they start to interact with toys, and come running when they hear my voice. They compete for attention and are happy to spend long periods of time away from Tina. They still drink from her, but she no longer lies down for them, instead she stands and they have to try and drink as best they can. She seems more interested in what they are getting to eat and if there is any left for her :)
On the day they turn 6 weeks, I stack the puppies up, and do a breed assessment in which I make notes about what I like or don't like about each puppy.

~ Marcel ~
This puppy is pick of the litter, a lovely male who carries himself very proudly, and is confident and happy. Marcel stands out amongst the other puppies, and catches my eye time and time again. He has a presence about him that makes him get noticed.
Head : Lovely head, nice dark eyes, correct shape. Nice chin, ears set correctly. Very nice length of neck. Bite correct.
Body : Lovely short back, very good tail set. Angulation very good.
Coat : Nice thick coat
Temperament : Confident, happy, outgoing. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~ Tjas ~
Head : Nice chin, lovely ears. Eye shape correct, eyes dark. Bite correct. Reasonable length of neck.
Body : Tail set reasonable, very nice chest, carries himself well.
Coat : Nice dark thick coat.
Temperament : Outgoing and confident. Very affectionate. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~ Leila ~
Head : Nice dark eyes, eye shape good. Lovely ear leathers. Nice chin. Neck adequate.
Body : Very nice hind angulation, nice deep chest, Back nice and short. Tail set okay, tail a bit gay.
Coat : Lovely thick crisp coat.
Temperament : Very confident, extremely dominant over other puppies. Happy to be picked up and petted. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~ Deirdre's Girl (Kelsie) ~
Head : Not as fine as other black bitch. Chin could be more pronounced. Lovely eye shape and colour. Correct scissor bite. Lovely ear leathers. Very nice expression.
Body : Nice deep chest. Length of neck really good. Tail set very good. Angulation good. Back not as short as Leila's, but Kelsie is a bigger bitch.
Coat : Nice coat
Temperament : Happy and confident. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~ Pony ~
Head : Nice chin, correct scissor bite, eyes may be a bit light, but darker than Red's. Nice ear leathers.
Body : Nice short back, angulation adequate
Coat : Nice and dense, will probably lighten though
Temperament : Very outgoing and confident ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~ Red ~
Head : Correct scissor bite, good chin, eye colour a bit light, although is darkening. Nice ear leathers.
Body : A bit longer in back, but he is a bigger puppy than the other boys. Tail set good
Coat : Lovely dark rich brown colour.
Temperament : A bit quieter than the other puppies, but not timid at all. Friendly when picked up and comes for petting with others. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
