| The USS Surak is the science vessel that patrols the Territories. Her crew complement is 150 and she is armed with the best scientific equipment in the fleet. Built as a planetary surveyor, the Surak has amazing long and short range sensors as well as an impressive series of labs, covering all of the major sciences. The ship is armed with two banks of standard federation phasers and one bank of torpedoes. The Surak is well armored and shielded and is able to attain speeds surpassing warp 9. The phasers on the Surak are an experimental placement, slightly above the navigational deflector and able to fire in a 180 degree arc in front of her allowing for maximum mobility while firing. Not built as a warship, the Surak is able to take care of herself in a fight. |
