‘In Whose Hands?’ Helen Bamber, founder of The Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture, will speak about Tortured Humanity from that perspective.

March 4

Paula Clifford of Christian Aid on ‘Tortured Humanity from the perspective of HIV/AIDS work in Africa’ where she will have recently been.

March 18

The Reverend Dr Allan Doig, Chaplain of Lady Margaret Hall and formerly lecturer in Art at the University of Kent, on ‘The Passion in Art’.

March 25

Dr Edward Kessler, founding and executive director of the Centre for Jewish-Christian Relations, Cambridge, on The Holocaust and Beyond’.

April 1

‘From Torture to Transfiguration: the Romanian Gulag revisited’ by the Reverend Dr Alexandru Popescu, Orthodox Deacon and professional psychiatrist, author of a book on three confessors of the Christian faith under Communism.
