When is the Dorm District Reunion?
It will be September 28-30, 2007.  A full weekend of events is being planned, including a banquet, but the details are not worked out yet.

Who does it include?
Anyone who participated in the Dorm District from the very earliest days (pre-1970) until 1980, both at Michigan and Eastern, as well as friends of the Dorm District from that era.  This includes people who were in the dorms before there was an official Dorm District.

How much does it cost?
The tentative ticket price for the banquet is $60 per person.  Other events for the weekend are undecided yet.  We are looking for ideas of free or low cost events.

What does the cost include?
Room rental, dinner, tax (6%), gratuity (20%), costs of printing, postage, nametags and perhaps a "biography/address" book of fellow dorm district alumni.  The reunion is not being subsidized in any way by either community, so all expenses involved in putting it on must be covered by the ticket price.

What are we going to do at the banquet?
The main goal of the reunion is to provide opportunities for fellowship to alumni, many of whom haven't seen each other in years and years, and a chance to renew old friendships.  Therefore, entertainment at the banquet will be minimal in order to give everyone the most time to interact with each other.  There will be some entertainment but it has not been decided yet.

What about kids?
Most kids will probably be bored at the banquet.  The banquet hall does not offer a reduced price for children's meals.  We'll try to have some family-friendly activities during the weekend where people can bring their children.

I have an idea or a suggestion.  Who do I contact?
Use the email box below to contact Sue Wiens Cooper or Ted Kennedy.

My name is not on the Alumni list or the Missing list.  Why not?
Please do not take it personally!  We do not have a comprehesive list of names of those who participated in the Dorm District 30 or more years ago.  We are relying on word of mouth and our memories.  It is also hard to remember in which district we met someone, causing more confusion.  Please be patient as we sort it all out. Thanks.
