It is my pleasure to recommend the work of a master writer
of surrealist short stories, poet and artist, Charmaine
(C.L.) Frost.
Her use of descriptive language is superb. She enables the
readers to see the scene as she would like them to, but doesn't over-do it.
She is especially good at opening windows into thought
processes and conveying how others are being impressed by what they perceive.
I normally don't read fiction. Most poetry is either too
sappy for me to tolerate or the poet is trying too hard to be original.
To give you an idea of how good I think she is: I began to
read Maya Angelou and the fiction of Umberto Eco and put the books down, bored,
after a few pages. I don't believe I ever bothered with a book that was on the
NY Times List of best sellers.
Frost's work kept me engaged for as much time as I had to
read during Shabbat and I intend to download more.
I think she has what it takes to become one of the greatest
writers of our time. I'm sure she would master any genre of writing she set her
hand to.
Her drawings are unusual and very good as well.
You can download a copy of her book PARADISE EMPORIUM for
Free through Lulu Publishers.
Lulu is an on-line publisher that sells books at very
reasonable prices in hard form or allows free downloads on .pdf
