Darul Uloom Karachi is a leading institution of Islamic learning in Pakistan. It continues the great academic tradition of the Darul Uloom at Deoband. It also has a well established Darul-Ifta where fiqh questions from all over the world are regularly received and answered. The questions are also entered in a register, a system that has gone on for about 50 years. The Darul-Uloom has its own official webpage. Fax: 011-9221-5040234 Questions can be written in Urdu, Arabic, Farsi, or English. Make sure you write very clearly (type if at all possible). Normally it takes 2 to 6 weeks to get an answer. Questions written in English may take longer as not all the staff in Darul Ifta speaks English. Complex questions requiring discussions among the scholars can also take longer to answer. However many questions that may be complex for the questioner may be elementary for those answering. |
