Ayako is surprised when she is handed over a baby. The baby was Yukino's. She had given birth in a small hospital in her hometown. Ayako stares at the adorable baby and felt its warmth with a smile on her face. A few moments later, Ayako gets a phone call from a gossip writer. The man asks Ayako for her comments on Yukino's sudden suicide. Ayako was full of shock. What? Yukino committed suicide? It couldn't be! Ayako rushes over to the television and turns it on. The program was explaining that Kurata Yukino had committed suicide in a small cottage in the mountains. She was about to receive the award for best actress for her movie with Ayako. On the other hand, Kai-kun hears this and couldn't believe it, that the woman he was in love with had committed suicide. Kai-kun starts going crazy and kicks the furniture in his room. Just about then, the door bell rings, and when Ayako goes to answer it, Yukino's mother, Kaori, and her sister, Hatsune, were standing there. Kaori was recovering and would be entering a rehabilitation facility soon. She wanted to talk to Ayako. She explains that twenty-some years ago, she was deeply in love with Tsukamoto Masaharu, Ayako's father, who then was a prospective lawyer. And she was to blame for Yukino becoming like a spirit of hatred. Kaori starts crying. But she asks Ayako to take good care of her grandchild. On the other hand, Kai-kun was in a state of deep solitude and melancholy. He decides to go over to Yukino's hometown to search for her. Ayako was against it, but there was no stopping him. Even though he was blind, he heads towards Yatsugatake by himself. Gossip writers begin hounding on Ayako, because it became known that she had a baby with her. They all thought that the baby was Ayako's and that she was hiding it from the public. But Ayako replies, "The baby is mine. I love the baby." She confesses that she planned to raise the child by herself. Later that day, Ijiri-san appears in front of Ayako. It was the first time Ayako had seen him since he had his license as a doctor taken away. It seems that the gossip writers began bogging down on him too since Ayako was one of his former patients. It was because Ayako confessed that she was a single mother. Ayako was really happy to see Ijiri-san. She was grateful to him for making her beautiful, and it was not to take revenge on Yukino, but to become better than Ijiri-san expected. She tells him, "I want to become more beautiful...for you." She confesses her true love for Ijiri-san. But moments later, Ayako gets a phone call from a hospital, telling her that Kai-kun had collapsed while in the mountains. Kai-kun still couldn't believe that Yukino was dead, and although he was blind, he dragged his body through the mountains in search of her. He had attempted to climb a mountain to look for Yukino. Ayako sees Kai-kun in a poor physical state and begins crying. She wanted to do something for him but couldn't think of anything. She discusses the matter with Ijiri-san, about telling Kai-kun about his baby in hope that he may be able to recover that way. Ayako brings the baby into Kai-kun's room. Kai-kun knew right away that Ayako brought over a baby. But he still didn't know that the baby was his. Ayako tells Kai-kun that Yukino gave birth to the baby moments before dying. And she tells him that the baby was Yukino's and Kai-kun's. He didn't know what to say. Ayako tells him that Yukino named the baby "Yuki(D s)". The first chinese character means "tenderness" and the second chinese character means "hope". Kai-kun was emotional at the fact that Yukino named the baby. It was a beautiful name. When Kai-kun holds up his son, Yuki, his vision comes back to him. He repeatedly tells Ayako that he can see Yuki. Ayako was happy for Kai-kun. Yuki had performed a miracle for Kai-kun. Kai-kun leaves Ayako's house, walking in Yukino's footsteps. Later in the day, the artist(Fujii Fumiya) visits Ayako and brings some liquor over. They begins talking about past memories. He gets drunk, but right before leaving, he tells Ayako to come over to his gallery tomorrow. The next morning, when Ayako arrives at the artist's gallery, she sees a big picture of two beings embracing. But the artist was no where in sight. Then, Ijiri-san appears. He tells her that he would be going to France. Ayako wanted to go with him, but Ijiri-san didn't allow it. Although he loved Ayako, he needed some time to think. Ayako continues to complain, but in the end, she decides to wait for Ijiri-san. After seeing Ijiri-san off, Ayako begins working again. Kai-kun also comes home and starts writing a script of Yukino's life story. The two were very busy everyday. Ayako decides to hire a maid to take care of Yuki. The door bell rings, and the maid arrives. But Ayako notices something strange with the maid. The maid walks in and says, "Wow...what a big house! I've always wanted to live in a place like this!" Those were the same words of Yukino when she first came over to Ayako's(Taeko's) house. And the maid sounded exactly like Yukino. Was it Yukino? In the end, a miracle really did occur!
