KOI NO KISEKI

Episode One

Tsukamoto Taeko(Hazuki Riona) was born out of a very loving family. Her father, Masaharu(Nezu Jinpachi), was a lawyer, and her mother, Ayako(Akiyoshi Kumiko), was a housewife. To her parents, Taeko was a very adorable child.

But the only problem Taeko had was the fact that she was born fat, and wasn't much of a sight to see.

Next door to Taeko lived Kai Masato(Hagiwara Masato),who was a friend of hers since childhood. Taeko liked Kai-kun very much, but since she was fat, she didn't have the courage to express her feelings to him. On the day of Taeko's high school graduation, a young girl came over to their house. The girl was very cute, but supposedly very lonely. Her name was Kurata Yukino(Kanno Miho) and according to Taeko's father, she was the daughter of a relative. She was going to stay with the them for the time being.

When Taeko saw Yukino for the very first time, she was surprised at how cute she was. She even admitted to herself that they were different. Yukino was so cute, that Taeko could even make fun of herself without feeling bad! But although the two were very different in appearance, Yukino was treated like one of the family, and was like a little sister to Taeko, although the two were the same age.

3 years passes....

Three years later, Yukino and Taeko's father, Masaharu, seemed to be having some kind of an affair, and Ayako, Taeko's mother, didn't like one bit of it. Although no one really knew the real reason Yukino came over to their house three years ago, Ayako was able to sense something fishy. Yukino found out that Masaharu was a lawyer, and was attached to him, in order to get him involved in a scheme(you will find out later!!).

Yukino also found out that Ayako was nosing in on her business, and changed her attitude to make Ayako act more suspicious. Once, Yukino was accused by Ayako of tempting Masaharu in a very obnoxious way, and so Yukino went out to the town and told everyone about it. Now, everyone believes that Yukino is treated badly by Ayako, and so Ayako had the image of a bad guy even by her closest neighbors.

One time, Taeko lent a scarf, given to her by Kai-kun on her high school graduation day, to Yukino for a party. At the party, Taeko met a man named Ijiri Tatsuhiko(Tanabe Seiichi), who would later become an important figure. Ijiri-san was at the party for some reason because of Yukino. But the day after the party, Taeko finds the scarf in the garbage, all cut up. It was from this point that Taeko started feeling funny about Yukino and her actions.

On Taeko's birthday, Masaharu was to come home early from work for a party, but he didn't come home on time. Ayako calls his company, but Yukino answers, and tells Ayako that they are together. Yukino hangs up the phone, kind of bored with Ayako's constant jealousy. Yukino tells Masaharu, "You haven't forgotten...that I am not your relative's daughter, but just a normal girl, with no connections to the family?"

Ayako couldn't take it any longer and decided to go out into the country to find out more about Kurata Yukino and who she really was. She goes to the train station and before riding the train, she calls Taeko and tells her to be careful of Yukino. While Ayako is waiting for the train to come, she is pushed by someone and falls from the platform onto the tracks, and is killed instantly by an incoming train. A girl wearing sunglasses leaves the bloody scene. She took off her sunglasses, and it was Yukino!

No one knew why she died, but some thought it was suicide. Yukino was the only one who knew, because she was the killer. At the funeral for Ayako, Yukino acts like she can't believe what happened, but Taeko can already sense something strange in Yukino, and that Yukino is probably the killer.

Taeko goes home from the funeral, and sees Yukino sitting on Ayako's beloved sofa, and automatically knows that it was Yukino that killed her mother. Taeko starts blaming Yukino, but Yukino says, "Ever since the day I met you, you were always jealous of me because I was pretty and you weren't. You know, people who are a drag to look at, like you, are the same inside(your heart)." Taeko couldn't say anything back to Yukino after hearing this.

She goes outside by herself and walks to the train tracks. The train is about to come so she has to wait until it crosses, but Taeko lifts up the metal bar, and walks in the middle of the tracks, to commit suicide. The train comes, but someone grabs Taeko and throws her away from the train tracks before it hits her.

Taeko then wakes up in a hospital-like place, and in front of her is Ijiri-san from the party. He asks her to give her life to him, so that he can change her. He tells her that he can make her beautiful.
