KOI NO KISEKI

Episode Eight

Ayako wakes up in Ijiri-san's office and finds out on his computer that Yukino was also one of his patients. Ayako starts feeling betrayed by Ijiri-san and loses her composure.

But then, Ayako recalls hearing that Ijiri-san had performed plastic surgery on a number of women before and starts thinking that maybe Yukino was one of those women. Maybe because of Ijiri-san, Yukino was able to become beautiful. Ayako starts thinking about it deeply.

On the other hand, Kai-kun starts getting prank phone calls from a strange guy who tells him ,"Stop messing around with Goto Yukiko!" He was told to mind his own business. "Just because she was messed up a long time ago, what do you have against it?" After hearing this, Kai-kun came to the conclusion that something horrible occured in Yukino's past. He was stunned. He wanted to do something for Yukino.

Around the same time, Ayako is given the opportunity to appear in a movie. Kai-kun would be writing the script, and it would be based on the American movie, "Sliver". It would be about a woman who gets over her complexes and becomes beautiful. The role was just perfect for Ayako. She automatically agrees to appear in the movie, but she is then given the news that Yukino would be in the movie too. Ayako didn't know what to do after hearing this. Then, Ayako is told that there would be a bed scene, and since Ayako had never gone out with a guy before, she became worried and frustrated. When Yukino hears about this, she purposely alludes to the fact that she slept with Kai-kun. It was to worry Ayako even more. Yukino continues laughing.

A few days later, Ayako is called over by the movie company. She is told that Yukino would be the main character in the movie instead of herself. It seems that Kai-kun re-wrote the script at the last minute in order for Yukino to be the main character. So Ayako was chosen to star alongside Yukino as her rival.

On the other hand, Yukino was very pleased after hearing that she was chosen to be the main character in the movie. But when she hears about the story, it was like her heart stopped. She was shocked. It was a story about an ugly girl who undergoes plastic surgery and becomes a famous actress in order to take revenge on the world. So basically, the whole story was based on Yukino's life story.

Over at the movie company...

Ayako thought that Yukino probably underwent plastic surgery, and Yukino was sure to refuse the movie offer, but Yukino smiles and says, "I will do my best in my role as an ugly girl!" She tells this to the staff at the movie company. Ayako was shocked. She was stunned at Yukino's mental strength.

Ayako goes over to Ijiri-san's office to ask him more about Yukino's past. Ijiri-san finally decides to tell Ayako everything. It seems that when Yukino was a high school student, she confessed to the boy she liked, but instead, trouble was waiting. Yukino was called by the boy, but when she went there, 3 friends of the boy were waiting, and she was raped there. She went back home, but no one was there. She was thrown away by her mother. Her mother thought it was a good chance to run off since Yukino didn't come home. Hatsune, Yukino's sister, was taken along.

Ayako becomes shocked after hearing this.

Over at Yukino's house, she forces Kai-kun to drink some medicine and locks him up in a room. It seems that she didn't like the fact that Kai-kun knew everything about her past. It was the same way with Ayako's father. So did this mean that Yukino would kill Kai-kun too?

Ayako is called over by Ijiri-san, and they go over to Ayako's(Taeko's) old house. Ijiri-san had arranged for her to live there again. She was happy. It was from here that Ayako and Yukino would continue their rivalry. Ayako only hoped for the best and that she would be able to change for the better. But Yukino's mental suffering was far more serious than the normal person could imagine.

The next morning, while Yukino was heading towards the movie company, a woman wearing a white dress appears close to her. Yukino couldn't see who the woman was, but when the woman walks in front of Yukino, she sees that it was her mother. But her mother didn't know that Yukino underwent plastic surgery.
