11. Rauthauvyr's Road
The Green Dragon that once struck Essembra and later disappeared into
the Underdark is remembered by the most prominent road in Essembra.
Legend has it that the Dragon's breath weapon scorched a line across
the land that was built along and later packed with soft mud to serve
as a road. People walking down this road can visit about 80% of Essembra's
population without even changing direction. Beautiful, well-spaced cottages
line the road and their individual architectural uniquities set the town
apart from all others. Even a few elven tree homes, an allusion to the
Elven Courts, have been erected in order to pay homage to the glorious
Faerunian birthplace of that ancient and elegant race.
