I wrote this for my grandfather when he was suffering from depression.  I think it reads like something out of a Hallmark card, but I thought I needed some more positive things on my site.

Nothings ever simple,
life doesn't go that way,
you simply do the best you can
to go from day to day.

Always keep your hopes up
and never get a frown,
for just around the corner
your life will turn around.

You'll make it through the bad times,
just you wait and see.
Be patient and the good times
will come eventually.
