MORMON "GOSPEL"

"Wherefore teach it unto your children, that all men, everywhere, must repent, or they can in nowise inherit the kingdom of God, for No unclean thing can dwell there, or dwell in his presence."

THE "GOOD" NEWS?

Moroni 10:32-33 reads: "Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength [If ye love me, keep my commandments], then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God. And again, if ye by the grace of God are perfect in Christ, and deny not his power, then are ye sanctified in Christ by the grace of God, through the shedding of the blood of Christ, which is in the covenant of the Father unto the remission of your sins, that ye become holy, without spot."(Book of Mormon)

DO YOU MEET THE (LDS) REQUIREMENTS?

HAVE YOU KEPT ALL THE COMMANDMENTS?

D&C 18:46 reads: "And after that you have received this, if you keep not my commandments you cannot be saved in the kingdom of my Father."

D&C 25:15 reads: "Keep my commandments continually, and a crown of righteousness thou shalt receive. And except thou do this, where I am you cannot come."

HAVE YOU STOPPED SINNING?

D&C 82:7 reads: "Go your ways and sin no more; but unto that soul who sinneth shall the former sins return, saith the Lord your God."

D&C 19:4 reads: "And surely every man must repent or suffer..."

Alma 34:32-33 reads: "For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors. ...I beseech of you that ye do not procrastinate the day of your repentance until the end; for after this day of life, which is given us to prepare for eternity, behold, if we do not improve our time while in this life, then cometh the night of darkness wherein there can be no labor performed."(Book of Mormon)

ARE YOU CLEANSED FROM ALL SIN?

D&C 50:28 reads: "But no man is possessor of all things except he be purified and cleansed from all sin."

Alma 5:27-28 reads: "Have ye walked, keeping yourselves blameless before God? Could ye say, if ye were called to die at this time, within yourselves, that ye have been sufficiently humble? That your garments have been cleansed...? Behold, are ye stripped of pride? I say unto you, if ye are not ye are not prepared to meet God. Behold ye must prepare quickly; for the kingdom of heaven is soon at hand, and such an one hath not eternal life."(Book of Mormon)

CAN YOU REALLY GET TO HEAVENLY FATHER?

Joseph F. Smith wrote: "Man may commit certain grievous sins-according to his light and knowledge-that will place him beyond the reach of the atoning blood of Christ...Joseph Smith taught that there were certain sins so grievous that man may commit, that they will place the transgressor beyond the power of the atonement of Christ. If these offenses are committed, then the blood of Christ will not cleanse them from their sins even though they repent."(Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, pp. 133-138)

Jesus said, "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man." (Matthew 15:18-20)

Joseph Smith declared: "If a man commit adultery, he cannot receive the celestial kingdom of God. Even if he is saved in any kingdom, it cannot be the celestial kingdom."(History of the Church, vol. 6, p. 81; Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 2, pp. 92-94)

Jesus said, "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."(Matthew 5:28)

THE GOSPEL

"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

THE GOOD NEWS

John 6:47 reads: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life."

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

WHAT MUST YOU DO?

John 6:28-29 reads: "Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent."

John 17:3 reads: "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."

WHO IS THE REAL JESUS?

Psalm 90:2 reads: "Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God."

Colossians 1:16-17 reads: "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him. And he is before all things, and by him all things consist."

Isaiah 44:8 reads: "Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any."

ETERNAL LIFE CAN BE KNOWN NOW THROUGH FAITH IN THE REAL JESUS

John 5:39-40 reads: "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life."

1 John 5:13 reads: "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life."

Romans 4:3 reads: "For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness."

ETERNAL LIFE IS A FREE GIFT

Romans 3:21-24 reads: "But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus."

Romans 4:4-5 reads: "Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."

Romans 6:23 reads: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Titus 3:7 reads: "That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

WE ARE ACCEPTED THROUGH FAITH IN HIS BLOOD - FOREVER

Ephesians 1:6-7 reads: "To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace."

Romans 3:25 reads: "Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood."

Hebrews 10:14 reads: "For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified."

ARE THERE SINS JESUS' BLOOD CANNOT CLEANSE?

Colossians 2:13-14 reads: "And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross."

1 John 1:9 reads: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

1 John 1:7 reads: "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Hebrews 7:25 reads: "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them."

HOW CAN I GET TO KNOW THIS WONDERFUL SAVIOUR?

John 1:12-13 reads: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."

Romans 10:8-13 reads: "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

A PRAYER

"Lord Jesus, I have sinned against you. I now know that there are no works I can do in the church that will make me worthy to dwell in the presence of the Father. I confess now Lord, that you are the everlasting God, sent by the Father, to die on the cross to pay for the penalty of all sins. I am now trusting in your shed blood alone as payment for my sins. Please come into my life. I accept you now, Lord Jesus, as my personal Saviour. Thank you Lord for your everlasting salvation and for coming into my life. Amen."
