Referrals have been coming every month thus far and the wait time is about 6 months. If things keep going that way, we should receive our referral in February 2005 with travel to China six to eight weeks after the referral.
So, what do you do when your waiting? Here's what we've been up to...
March 2005
We received word on 3/15 (Matt's birthday!) that referrals were making their way to the States! People with other agencies began posting their referrals on 3/16. We hope to receive our referral call this Friday, 3/18!

February 2005
We are settling in for the next few weeks as we wait for our referral. It looks as if referrals will not be arriving this month. We only hope our referral arrives in the first part of March.
January 2005
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! After the July group was split it was highly likely that August would be split. On Friday, January 28, we received an alert from our agency that referrals were on the way. We spent the weekend wondering if our referral was on its way. On Monday, January 31, we received word that referrals were in and that indeed August was split. Our agency only received referrals through 8/23. We will have to wait another few weeks for our referral. This now means that we will probably travel to China in May.
December 2004
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! June 2004 referrals arrived this month and July is next and then US!! Looks like February 2005 for our referral (I'm betting on a Valentine's Day referral). Hopefully we will get to travel to China in early April, before the Trade Fair (April 15-30). We are getting really excited and nervous!! We bought a high chair--it's red and I LOVE it (how pathetic is it that I am in love with a high chair?). To see Chloe's Christmas gifts click here.

Happy Thanksgiving! The holidays are upon us and that will make the time move along much quicker. We had a bit of bad luck this month, Matt was struck by another car and his Land Cruiser was totaled!! AHH!! Luckily he was uninjured and we got another car for him to drive (the same car, but the Lexus version). Despite our car woes, it appears that we are on track for a February 2005 referral. We found out that we are in the review room at the CCAA!!
October 2004
Our friend, Stacie, and her husband. Steve, are also expecting their first baby! SO EXCITING! Stacie is due May 28, 2005. We acted responsibly and sold Shannon's car for a cheaper one--gotta start pinching the pennies if I am going to be a stay-at-home-mom!
September 2004
Reality is starting to hit home, we are going to be parents!!! Matt sold his M-Roadster and bought a Land Cruiser! That gives us plenty of room for kids. He loves it though. Matt's mother came to visit us from England and we enjoyed sharing this time with her. Shannon volunteered to design our August DTC group homepage. You can check it out at: www.augustsweetpeas.org
August 2004
We celebrated in Boston after sending our documents to our agency. Shannon is back teaching and is also starting a scrapbook for Chloe and participating in a 100 Good Wished Quilt exchange with members of the August DTC group. She is also participating in a monthly gift exchange with the members of the August DTC group.
