Matt is originally from England (born in Essex) and Shannon is a native of Texas. We have one dog, Lizzie. Matt has a brother, Rob, who lives in Texas with his wife, Ashley, and our nieces, Bryn & Gemma and our nephew, Harrison. Shannon has an older sister, Deanna, who lives with her husband, John, in Colorado.
Matt's Mum still lives in England and his Dad lives in Sweden. Shannon's parents live in Texas.
For our first 7 years of marriage we lived in Allen, a suburb of Dallas. Since April 2006, we have lived in New Jersey.
We are currently underway on adoptions #2 and #3. We began a second adoption from China and are LID 10-16-2006 for Emma Claire. We expect that adoption journey to take 3-4 years. In the late summer of 2008 we began a third adoption from Ethiopia. We plan to adopt an infant boy, Oliver, in 2009. Even though it is our third adoption, Oliver will be our 2nd child.
