September 2006 -
Well, our dossier was sent off to Beijing on Friday, September 15. We will have to wait 6-8 weeks to hear when our dossier was received at the CCAA.

October 2006 - We expect our log-in date to be in October. Currently referrals are taking 14 months. That could mean that we will receive our referral in December 2007 (let's hope). We met and had dinner with 4 other couples from New Jersey who also sent their dossiers in to China in September. I created a blog to document our journey to Emma Claire. I will still keep up with these pages, but go into more detail on the blog (with photos).

November 2006
- Received our log-in date of October 16, 2006. Current wait times are 15 months but expected to increase. At the current CCAA referral rate it could take us 14 months to 30 months for a referral.

December 2006- Received word from GWCA that our dossier is "in translation."

January 2007 - Met up again with the waiting families in NJ at the aquarium in Camden.

February 2007 - Our dossier is translated and "pending review". Celebrated Chinese New Year with our local FCC Chapter.

March 2007 - Went to a regional GWCA Culture Club event for NJ families and met some families in the process. Our dossier is still "pending review" and we expect to remain in that holding pattern for the next couple of months

December 19, 2007 - We receive word that we are finally out of review and are now in the long line for referral. It took 14 months and 3 days to make it through review. We expect to wait another 3-4 years for our referral.
