Further progress.
16 December, 2001 - I found out about a place in southwell called the handycentre apparently they sell cheap angle iron. this is perfect for what we need to make the frame from, I plan on going there sometime early this week.
18 December, 2001 - Been in touch with a guy caled Joe from the DIY gas turbines group, he has a spare thrust nossle which looks perfect for what we will need at a later date, just pricing it all up then hopefully i'll buy that soon.
18 December, 2001 - Joe managed to find out the price for the shipping on the thrust cone, its a bit much at $35 plus another $30 for the cone itself. im gonna have a word with Tris and we'll decide whats happening from there.
24 December, 2001 - Today work started on the frame the engine will be mounted on. We're both new at welding but managed to weld a frame together from some angle iron we had lying around, seems perfect for the frame but we need a bit more to finish it off. photos will come after christmas hopefully, and maybe a bit of colour to the site, dont know how to do that yet :D
3 January, 2002 - Happy new year everyone :), we havent really done much to the engine recently, what with christmas and new year messing us around. On friday we're planning to hire out a cutting tool to cut our flame tubes and outter tubes down to size, should be about 20 pounds to hire it. i'll report how it goes on friday.
